Welcome to the Web Page of the First Baptist Church Adamsville, Tennessee.  Our town is known as the "biggest little town in Tennessee" but in my opinion it should also be known as one of the greatest towns in the world.  We are proud of our community and its' people.
     Our church is attempting to make Adamsville an even better place to live by pursuing our God given vision.  Our vision statement is, "to bring honor and glory to God by being obedient to His will and to do greater works than Jesus did."  We have a great church who loves Christ and who is attempting to make Him known in our town.

I believe young people are the key to the future of our world.  It's why I do what I do.  Statistics show that a person is more likely to accept Christ before the age of 18 than any other time in their life.  Here at First Baptist you'll find a wide selection of programs for our Start to Finish Ministries, (children) including Team Kid and Team Kid Jr., Bible Drill, Children's and Pre-school choirs  and Reach 1 Ministries (youth) including In Depth Bible Studies, F.O.C.S.U.S., Sign Language, Drama ministry, mission opportunities and much more!  It's my hope that every young person who walks through our doors will find a warm, inviting, place where they will feel accepted and God will minister to them.  When we touch the life of a child, we touch the world.  I'm looking forward to seeing you here!

Philosophy of Church Music - We believe that music is to be used as an instrument to exalt and lift up Christ Jesus.  We also believe that music can be used as an instrument of outreach to those who do not know Christ as Savior, to encourage, inspire, and lift up the worshipper.  Although our rehearsals are geared to making our music as technically correct as possible, it is the words that are the most important aspect of our music.  We try to insure that all of the music that is presented in our worship services is doctrinally sound.  Therefore, we choose our music very carefully based upon the text, and secondarily the music style. If you wanted to classify our worship services, they would probably be classified as being blended with strong traditional leanings. 

The music program at Adamsville First Baptist currently offers a children's and pre-school choir, adult choir, youth praise band, contemporary music group and adult handbells. We are constantly seeking God's guidance in offering additional instrumental and vocally ensembles. If you would like more information or have helpful comments, please contact the church or E-mail me.
